# Normalize musical controls

## JSON body

**bpm** `number`

Round and clamp to 40 to 220.

**keyScale** `string`

Root and scale; flat roots normalize to sharp equivalents.

**audioDuration** `number`

Round to five-second steps and clamp to 15 to 300.

**vocalLanguage** `string`

Supported two-letter language code; defaults to en.

## Response

Returns normalized `bpm`, `keyScale`, `audioDuration` and `vocalLanguage`. Unusable tempo, key or duration values can be omitted. An unsupported scale becomes minor; an unsupported language becomes en.
