# Publish and mint a track

> Set selling terms, make a track public, and understand what minting records.

Publishing lists a track in **MARKET**. If that version isn't minted yet, the app mints it before making the listing public.

## Choose selling terms

Before generating an original, open Studio's **FINANCIALS**:

| Field | What you set | Default value |
| - | - | -: |
| **STREAM (\$/MIN)** | The displayed listening rate | \$0.01/min |
| **LICENSE (\$)** | The price of a remix license | \$5 |
| **LICENSES** | The number of licenses offered | 20 |

</Frame>

These are song selling terms, separate from [service fees](/app/payments). The current player does not charge listeners by the minute, so the displayed stream rate is not a promise of streaming earnings.

## Make a track public

1. Choose the song version you intend to publish and review its terms.
2. Connect the creator account and choose the appropriate network.
3. Select **MAKE PUBLIC** on the Studio variation, or enable **Public song** in **MY-PAGE → MY SONGS**.
4. Review and complete any mint or activation prompts. Wait for confirmation.
5. The public listing appears in Market.

<Note>
  The first download or publication of a song version can require a mint transaction. Review the wallet prompts before continuing. Making a listing private or deleting it later does not remove its onchain record or public metadata.
</Note>

An original's mint records its creator, song metadata, license allocation, license price, and stream rate. A remix's mint links it to the original on the same network. Minting records this relationship; it does not check that every lyric, recording, or other input is cleared for your intended use.

## Keep working after minting

**EDIT** opens a new editable version based on a minted song. Publish or download that version when it's ready; it has its own mint.

Use **MAKE PRIVATE** or clear **Public song** to remove a Market listing. The onchain record and public metadata remain.

To understand license sales and remix permissions, see [licenses](/app/licenses).
