# Generate a track

> Turn a music description and optional lyrics into a track you can edit.

Start in **STUDIO**. Choose **FAST** or **STUDIO MASTER** from the modes offered. [Service prices](/app/payments#service-prices) differ between them.

  <Step title="Describe the music">
    Open **DETAILS** and enter a **PROMPT** of at least three characters. Describe the style, rhythm, instruments, and atmosphere. For example: “Slow synthwave, warm bass, spacious drums, a late-night drive.”

    A title is optional. You can also select an [album or cover](/app/covers-albums).

  <Step title="Choose vocals or instrumental">
    Paste lyrics into **LYRICS**, or open the [lyrics canvas](/app/lyrics). Select **LANGUAGE** to request a vocal language.

    Enable **INSTRUMENTAL** to request music without vocals. This disables the lyric and language controls. With lyrics left empty, the service chooses lyrics from your brief; listen to the result before relying on its language or vocal content.

  <Step title="Set the direction">
    Open **GLOBAL PARAMETERS** for [style tags, duration, tempo, key and scale](/app/music-settings). Add a [custom voice](/app/voices) if needed. Leave settings at **AUTO** or their defaults when you don't need a target.

  <Step title="Review and generate">
    Open **FINANCIALS** to review the [song's selling terms](/app/publish#choose-selling-terms). Select **GENERATE AUDIO**, review the account and terms, then **CONFIRM & GENERATE**.

    You need a connected account, the signed disclaimer, and an active spending session for paid work.

## Listen and keep working

Follow the item in **VARIATIONS\_FEED** until it is **READY**. Select **PLAY** to listen, **EDIT** to open the workstation, **SAVE VOICE** to keep its vocals as a [custom voice](/app/voices), or **MAKE PUBLIC** to [publish it](/app/publish).

New tracks begin with a private app listing. Leaving Studio does not cancel submitted processing.

On a phone, **CREATE** and **FEED** switch between the form and the generation feed. A submitted generation switches to **FEED**.
